Illustrated License

All Goods purchased and sold through Illustrator Stuff are subject to the Illustrator Stuff User License. In addition to all of our other published policies, here’s an summary of intellectual property rights and obligations Users agree to when you buy/sell Goods through Illustrator Stuff that we call the Illustrated License.

Like most of you, we here at Illustrator Stuff don’t understand legal jargon very easily and prefer to use words that are understandable. That’s why we created this Illustrated License, written by a real human being and meant to be legible by everyone. This license applies to all products on Illustrator Stuff.

If you are wondering if what you are doing is okay with the seller, please contact Illustrator Stuff before moving forward!

When you SELL Goods through Illustrator Stuff, YOU REPRESENT THAT:
  • You own or control the Goods, and you have the right to control/sell/license the Goods; 
  • Your Goods are in full compliance with Illustrator Stuff’s policies and applicable law, will not infringe any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property right, nor will the Goods violate any third parties' rights of privacy or publicity;
YOU UNDERSTAND THAT BUYERS PURCHASE THE GOODS FOR THE PURPOSES DESCRIBED BELOW, AND WITH RESPECT TO ANY GOODS PURCHASED YOU GRANT THEM A LIMITED NON-EXCLUSIVE LICENSE TO USE THE GOODS FOR THE BELOW DESCRIBED PURPOSES. 

When you BUY Goods through Illustrator Stuff, YOU CAN:
  • Use the Goods for non-commercial (personal) uses; 
  • Use the Goods in connection with single commercial projects; 
  • Use the Goods in furtherance of work you are creating for someone else; 
  • Use the Goods on your own, or as part of a new creative (derivative) work; 
  • When used as part of a new or derivative work, there’s no limit to the number of copies of the new work that can be distributed so long as the copies are not offered for sale
  • Use Goods that include installable items like Brushes and Symbol Libraries – but they may only be installed on a single computer – and from that single computer, those Goods may be used repeatedly on multiple projects. 
*These rights are granted on a non-exclusive basis.

BUT BUYERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO:
  • Use the Goods as part of a derivative creative work offered for sale where the Goods function as an essential creative/core value of the product being sold. 
  • Sublicense, resell, share, transfer, or otherwise redistribute the Goods on their own – whether it is for free or not! 
  • Use the Goods beyond the Terms of Use without prior written consent from Illustrator Stuff.

Use a purchased set of brushes to create artwork for a client Distribute the purchased brushes to a client with the artwork
